Seated from left, Myrtis Tabb, Donielle Lovell and Christy Montesi (standing) finalize their journal article that was recently published in the International Leadership Association’s journal.
Myrtis Tabb, Assistant Vice President for Partnerships and Special Projects at Delta State, and Christy Montesi, Tri-State Director of the Mid-South Delta Leaders (MSDL) program, served as co-authors with Donielle Lovell, lead author on the publication, “Facilitating Sustainable Community Leadership Development: The Mid-South Delta Leaders Program Approach.”

“I am especially pleased with this publication, because Donielle is a graduate of our DSU master’s program in community development and started working with us as a Hearin Fellow assigned to the leadership work. She is now a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Missouri-Columbia and is serving as part of the evaluation team for the leadership program,” commented Tabb.

MSDL brings diverse people together to work across traditional boundaries and barriers to pursue innovative, creative, persistent and strong partnerships across sectors. MSDL is funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation/Mid South Delta Initiative through a partnership with Delta State University serving as the lead partner and fiscal agent; Arkansas State University and Grambling State University.

The International Leadership Association is committed to creating a global leadership network for those who practice, study and teach leadership. ILA seeks to strengthen the connection between scholars of leadership and community leaders and serves as a forum for people across the world to share ideas and research.
